FOREVER YOUNG DIET

SKIN GLOW SOUP
A delicious soup rich in calcium and vitamin A to treat your skin with an extra glow.
Ingredients
2 cups roughly chopped cucumber
3 to 4 tablespoons mint leaves
2½ cups thick fresh curds (dahi)
salt to taste
Method
Blend all the ingredients in a blender. Add a little cold water if the mixture is too thick. Refrigerate and serve chilled.

PROTEIN PACKED POHA
A combination of sprouts and poha that's simply brimming with protein, vitamin B3 and iron.
Ingredients
1½ cups jada poha (beaten rice flakes)
1½ cups mixed sprouts (moath beans, moong, red chana), boiled
½ teaspoon mustard seeds (rai)
¾ cup finely chopped onions
1 to 2 green chillies, chopped
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
2 teaspoons sugar
3 teaspoons lemon juice
1 tsp oil
salt to taste
For the garnish
tablespoons chopped coriander
Method
1.Place the poha on a sieve and wash lightly. Drain and leave aside for 10 minutes.
2.Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds. When they crackle, add the onion and
green chillies and sauté till the onion turns translucent.
3.Add the mixed sprouts, turmeric powder, sugar and salt with approx. ½ cup of water and sauté for 3 to
4 minutes.
4.Add the poha and lemon juice and mix well.
5.Serve hot garnished with the chopped coriander

STRAWBERRY NECTAR
Vitamin C laden recipe not only boosts up your immune system but also gives a glow to your skin.
Ingredients
1 cup strawberry purée
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons sugar
10 to12 ice-cubes
For the garnish
a few strawberry slices
Method
1. Blend all the ingredients together in a liquidiser with 1 cup of water.
2. Pour into in 2 tall glasses and serve immediately garnished with strawberry slices.


CHICK PEA AND SOYA TIKKIS
Tikki, a traditional Indian snack, made healthy and nutritious to strengthen your eye muscles with its vitamin B1 and zinc rich ingredients.
Ingredients
½ cup chick peas (kabuli chana), boiled and drained
½ cup soya granules
1 tablespoon finely chopped mint
1 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies
1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
1 teaspoon oil
salt to taste
Method
1. Soak the soya granules in hot water for 10 to 15 minutes. Drain and squeeze out all the water.
2. Blend together the chick peas, soya nuggets and mint, in a blender to a smooth paste.
3.Add the green chillies, ginger, salt and mix well.
4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into round, flat tikkis.
5. Cook them on a non-stick pan using a little oil till both sides are golden brown.
6. Serve hot with chutney of your choice
