For youth: it is not any amount of make-up that will help you bring color to those cheeks. It is a combination of proper diet, water, exercise and skin and hair care routine, which will keep you glowing. So start now!
To avoid colds and coughs, add half teaspoon of pure almond oil to a cup of hot milk and drink last thing at night throughout winter.
If you have under-eye dark circles, take 2 teaspoonfuls of mint paste and mix with half a cup of milk. Freeze. Then take the ice cubes and rub daily around the eyes.
To soothe tired eyes, freeze rose water in an ice tray and massage every evening, after work.
If you are suffering from regular headaches, dip your feet in a tub of warm water for about 15 minutes.
If you suffer from acidity. Eat a tub of vanilla ice cream for instant relief!
If you have yellow teeth, mix lemon peel powder with a teaspoon of salt and add water. Scrub this on teeth daily for a week for sparkling white teeth.
For sleeplessness, put 3-4 drops of lavender oil on your pillow and slip into deep slumber in no time at all.
To thicken eyelashes, cast with castor oil.
If you are suffering from pimples because of constipation, take a cup of warm milk last thing at night to cleanse the stomach naturally!
During changing weather, make a homemade skin tonic with grated cucumber from which you have squeezed out the juice and one teaspoonful of honey. Store in a bottle and wipe skin with this refreshing tonic. It will clean, tone and moisturise the skin all at once!
In the season of watermelons, freeze the peels and rub all over skin whenever you come from outside to hydrate and tone it.
In the season for fresh strawberries, if you have an oily skin, mash three strawberries and massage into the skin. Not only will your skin feel clean but this will also help tone it and shrink the open pores.
For instant skin nourishment, mix one teaspoonful of honey and half-mashed banana and massage into the skin.
To cleanse the skin, rub it with fresh papaya on the face and let it absorb the juice. Papaya has cleansing enzymes which leave the skin squeaky clean and super soft!
For fine lines, take half a cup of warm water, add 20 strands of saffron and wipe your skin with this daily.
For an extra glow in the skin, take 3 teaspoonfuls of saffron water and mix with half a teaspoonful of honey. Massage this into the skin and leave on for 20 minutes.
Mash olives and smoothen over skin for five minutes. Massage in rotating movements and wash off with milk for a super soft complexion in no time!
For sleeplessness, put 3-4 drops of lavender oil on your pillow and slip into deep slumber in no time at all.
To lessen wrinkles, massage the skin with almond oil and apply strained rice water. Let it dry and wash off with ice-cold water for a clean tightened skin.
If you have run out of cleanser, rub your skin with papaya for 2-3 minutes!
If you have open pores and feel your skin is dull and sticky, rub half a tomato all over the skin for five minutes and wash off with cold water. This will shrink open pores, reduce the chances of blackheads and whiteheads and make your skin oil free, wonderful and all done naturally!
For oily skin, rub half a raw tomato all over the face and wash off with ice-cold water. The skin will feel clean. The pores tightened and the acidic nature of the tomato will reduce oil.
For dry peeling skin, take 1 teaspoonful of milk powder, 1 teaspoonful sandalwood powder and massage gently on the skin. Wash off for a smooth and nourished complexion!
For excessive oily and open pores skin, rub three mashed strawberries into the skin and wash with ice-cold water for an oil-free smooth complexion. Strawberries being acidic in nature help reduce oiliness and shrink pores!
To keep the skin nourished and glowing, grind 10 figs and apply all over face and neck. Wash off after 15 minutes.
For tanned skins which erupt with heat rashes in summer, keep a bowl of fuller's earth soaked in rose water to which you have added a teaspoonful of powdered camphor. Wash your face with this each time you come from outside.
For tanned skins, wash face with multani mitti and sandalwood paste.
