HOMEMADE FACE PACKS are economical and free of chemicals. Basically all face packs have some sort of a cleansing action. Identify your skin type before you apply a pack. Your kitchen shelf is the best place to find the ingredients for a homemade face pack.

Egg pack
Take the yolk of an egg, mix in two tsp rosewater and a tsp honey and preserve it. Use it once a week. It is useful in winter. For wrinkles, take the white of an egg, beat it, mix in three tsp of an egg, two tsp orange juice, half tsp lemon juice and a few drops of sweet almond oil. Mix well and apply. Keep it for half an hour before washing it off.
Urad dal pack
Grind urad dal into a fine powder, mix rose water, glycerine, and almond oil, make a paste and apply.
Curd pack
Take a tsp of gram flour and mix with two tsp curd. Apply for half an hour. It soothes sunburnt skin.
Apricot face pack
Mix two tsp honey, half tsp apricot extract, half tsp almond oil, and half tsp lemon juice. Apply this paste on the face. Leave it for 15 minutes then wash off. This is good for normal skin.
Face packs for oily skin
Mix together equal parts of corn flour and talcum powder. Add a little cold water and mix until the pack has the consistency of a soft porridge. Apply on the face and wipe off when dry. Remove with cotton wool, soaked in cucumber juice.
Potato face pack
Blend a tsp of potato juice and multani mitti together and apply it on the face. Leave it to dry. Then wash off with lukewarm water. Rinse your face finally with cold water.
Papaya face pack
Apply two tbsp of papaya pulp on your face and when it is dry, wash off with lukewarm water. You can also mix lemon juice in it.
For all types of skin:
Milk face pack
Mix two tsp yeast powder, one tsp sugar and one cup of warm toned milk well and keep the mixture to ferment for a short while. When fermented apply it for 20-30 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water giving a final cold water rinse.
Honey face pack
Beat an egg white and two tsp curd. Add one tsp honey to it. Mix well and apply this paste . When dry, wash off with lukewarm water giving a final cold- water rinse.
